Our origins

On October 28, 2003, about 30 pastoral staff members from eight countries/regions attended the Missionary Chinese Workers Seminar in Hong Kong, during which they agreed on the need to establish a “Chinese Alliance World Fellowship” (CAWF) in caring for the gospel needs of Chinese people around the world. Delegates were immediately appointed to form a preparatory committee to discuss the details of the preparation, which was then discussed by the members of the countries/regions, and it was agreed that the meeting would be held again during the World Alliance Fellowship (AWF) in the Netherlands in April 2004 for formal confirmation. In 2005, the World Huaxuan Conference was officially established, and the first World Huaxuan Conference was held in Hong Kong. In 2008, WWS was accepted as a member of the World Alliance Fellowship.
